Tim and Betsy's daughter, Christie, has been a service writer at ABS since 2010. Christie is the heart of ABS—her customers really love and appreciate her.

The ABS Unlimited Business Philosophy:

If we treat our customers with respect and honesty… they will appreciate it, return for service, and refer others.

If you ever come to our shop and feel anything less, please let us know!

Meet the Owners

Tim and Betsy enjoy running their business, working with family and taking care of their employees and customers. “We could not exist without our team and without our loyal customers. We are very grateful for both!”

Betsy Briggs

Business Owner

Betsy grew up in the car business. Her parents, Frank and Wanda Lewark, owned and ran a used car dealership in Fairfax City called Auto Buying Service. She started working there as a kid doing cleaning and worked her way up through the ranks learning all aspects of owning a business along the way… bookkeeping, collections, sales, marketing, human resources and management. Her parents sold Auto Buying Service a few years ago but Betsy was involved most of the years they were in operation — since 1970. She even met her future husband, Tim, there.

Tim Briggs

Business Owner

Tim knew he wanted to fix cars since he was very young. He always took things apart and put them back together as a child — clocks, bikes and then cars. His first car was a 1968 Plymouth Road Runner, and he had to rebuild the motor in it. He did all the machine work himself with a little help. He took auto mechanics in high school and had a great shop teacher at Lake Braddock High School. Just a few minutes talking to Tim and you will feel comfortable with him as your mechanic. He is sincere, caring, and honest. He will always treat you as family and your vehicle as he would his own.
